John Dalton

John Dalton was born September 6, 1766 in CumberlandEngland.
His atomic model was called the billiard ball model because he thought the atoms looked like tiny little spheres. He discovered the atom in 1803. On the 23rd of October he wrote his essay on the compact for atomic weights and absorption of gasses. In his Theory there where four basic ideas:

1: chemical elements are made of atoms
2: atoms are identical in there masses.
3: atoms of different elements are different masses
4: Atoms can’t be destroyed or created.
